- Inhibition of the corrosion of 63/37 brass in 0
- Inhibition of the corrosion of 63/37 brass in 0.5 N acetic acid by some amines. Patel, N. K.; Patel, M. M.; Patel, A. B.; Vora, J. C. (Sch. Sci., Gujrat Univ., Ahmedabad, India). Labdev, Part A, 12-A(3), 113-17 (English) 1974. CODEN: LAPSBF. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 56 (Nonferrous Metals and Alloys) The influence of aliph. amines, heterocyclic amines, and arom. amines on the corrosion of 63/37 brass [11101-35-2] in HOAc [64-19-7] solns. was investigated. In the case of aliph. amines, tributyl amine [102-82-9] was an effective inhibitor at low concns. Heterocyclic amines, quinoline [91-22-5] and morpholine [110-91-8], afforded suitable protection. Arom. amines, phenyl hydrazine [100-63-0], o-phenetidine [94-70-2], dibenzylamine [103-49-1], p-anisidine [104-94-9], and N-ethylaniline [103-69-5] were effective. Corrosion inhibitor theories were discussed.
- Retardation of drop in polymerization of isoprene catalyzed by titanium tetrachloride-triisobutylaluminum
- Retardation of drop in polymerization of isoprene catalyzed by titanium tetrachloride-triisobutylaluminum. Nakatomi, Shunsuke; Inoue, Toshihiro (Polym. Res. Lab., Ube Ind.There are some reagents with their cas registry numbers 7550-45-0 and 9003-31-0 are used in this study., Ltd., Ichihara, Japan). Nippon Kagaku Kaishi, (2), 279-83 (Japanese) 1977. CODEN: NKAKB8. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 35 (Synthetic High Polymers) Chain scissions in polyisoprene [9003-31-0] during its prepn. in the presence of TiCl4-iso-Bu4Al [100-99-2] are inhibited by secondary amines. The effect of amines decreased in the order of diphenylamine [122-39-4] > dibenzylamine [103-49-1] > N-phenyl-1-naphthylamine [90-30-2] indicating that the inhibition effect increased with increasing basicity of amines. The above amine effect was explained in terms of absorption of amines by the catalyst. .
