The smoke evolution of plasticized films during combustion increased through the plasticizer series: dioctyl phthalate (I) [117-81-7], bis(2-ethylhexyl) Ph phosphate (II) [16368-97-1], chloroparaffins KhP 600 and KhP 1100, and tris(chloroethyl) phosphate (III) [115-96-8], and during smoldering through the series: I, KhP 1100, KhP 600, tris(chloropropyl) phosphate [26248-87-3], II, and III. The optical d. of the smoke was decreased 53.5% by addn. of ZnO-(NH4)2MoO4 mixts. as fireproofing agents. .
