[66398-74-1]), however, would not polymerize or copolymerize in the presence of TiCl4, H+, or BF3 at any temp. Comparison of the reactivities and stabilization energies of the anthracene derivs. with those of the corresponding naphthalene and benzene derivs. indicates that polymerizability of the anthracene derivs. is sterically controlled.
