Egg prodn., was also higher with 10 .mu.g I/lb, 71.4% vs 56.1%.

Dissocn. time-course studies revealed that I included kinetic modifications of its own binder. In these prepns., 3H-labeled 1.alpha.-25-dihydroxycholecalciferol [32222-06-3] binding was completely reversible by unlabeled compd. within 45 min regardless of the incubation time with the labeled compd. On the contrary, I-3H binding was reversible only for incubation times <1 h at 0.degree.. After over a 1 h incubation, binding became nonreversible.
