Thus, granular I contg. 24 mequiv CO2H/kg was mixed with 0.04% TiO2 and 1.0% II and extruded to prep. fibers contg. 10 mequiv CO2H/kg. After 6 h in water at 130°, the modified I contained 0.028% broken bonds, compared with 0.102% without the II. .
