Manufacture of poly(ether-ester) block copolymer elastic fibers
All Rights Reserved. Manufacture of poly(ether-ester) block copolymer elastic fibers. Masuda, Takeshi (Teijin Fibers Ltd., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 2007039817 A 15 Feb 2007, 8pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. APPLICATION: JP 2005-222299 1 Aug 2005. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 40 (Textiles and Fibers) In melt-spinning of poly(ether-ester) block copolymers, oiling agents contg. 380% mineral oils and/or polydimethylsilicone and 0.5-3% alc.-ethylene oxide adduct partial phosphate ester salts are applied as aq. emulsions with viscosity 2-10 m2/s. Thus, poly(butylene terephthalate)-polytetramethylene glycol block copolymer was melt-spun, oiled with an aq. 20% emulsion contg. In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 58318-92-6 and 31900-57-9 mineral oil 40, di-Me silicone 50, ethoxylated lauryl phosphate K salt 3, and ethoxylated lauryl alc. 7% (viscosity 2.1 mm2/s at 25°), and wound to give an elastic fiber showing less oil scattering, no harness skip, good lubricity, antistatic property, and unwinding property, and no scum deposition on a guide. .
Poly(lactic acid)-type fibers with reduced swelling of yarns by lubricants and good drawability and texturability, comprising fibers coated with lubricants comprising mineral oil and/or fatty acid esters, nonionic surfactants and anionic surfactants
Poly(lactic acid)-type fibers with reduced swelling of yarns by lubricants and good drawability and texturability, comprising fibers coated with lubricants comprising mineral oil and/or fatty acid esters, nonionic surfactants and anionic surfactants. Ito, Makoto; Ishida, Akira (Nippon Ester Co., Ltd., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 2004027374 A2 29 Jan 2004, 10 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: ICM: D06M013-165. ICS: D01F006-62; D06M013-02; D06M013-224; D06M013-256; D06M013-292. APPLICATION: JP 2002-181018 21 Jun 2002. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 40 (Textiles and Fibers) The poly(lactic acid) (I)-type fibers comprise fibers coated with lubricants contg. 355% mineral oil and/or fatty acid esters, 325% nonionic surfactants having av. hydrophile-lipophile balance (HLB) £9.0 and max. HLB £13, and 2-8% anionic surfactants to form fibers with lubricant content 0.3-0.7%, and show yarn-to-metal frictional coeff. £0.3 and yarn-to-yarn frictional coeff. £0.25. I was melt spun through a spinneret at 210°, coated with 10% emulsion of a lubricant contg. mineral oil 20, octyl palmitate 12, oleyl laurate 30, polyoxyethylene castor oil ether 8, polyoxyethylene oleyl ether 7, polyoxyethylene lauryl ether 15, sodium cetylsulfonate 3, and polyoxyethylene lauryl phosphate potassium salt 3% to form fibers with lubricant content 0.5% and showing av. HLB of the nonionic surfactant 8.9 and max. HLB of the nonionic surfactant 13.1, and wound. The spun I fibers were drawn to draw ratio 1.26 at 70° and heat-treated at 110° in a continuous process for 20 h to give drawn yarns with no. of yarn breaks 1 and exhibiting yarn-to-metal frictional coeff. 0.28 and yarn-to-yarn frictional coeff. 0.24.Some chemicals with cas registry numbers like 19149-85-0 and 58318-92-6 are also used. The spun I fibers were drawn to draw ratio 1.20 and false-twisted at heater temp. 100° in a continuous process for 100 h to give textured yarns showing no. of yarn breaks 1 and exhibiting no heater fouling. .
