More than 1% pos. reactions were found with DMDM hydantoin (Glydant) [6440-58-0], Kathon CG [55965-84-9], and alkyl tri-Me ammonium chloride only. The concn. of alkyl tri-Me ammonium chloride (0.1% aq.) was considered too high. Of 6 patients reacting to the HCHO [50-00-0] releaser DMDM hydantoin, 4 were pos. to HCHO. Kathon CG may be an important allergen in the Netherlands, and it is worthwhile to add it to the std. test series.
