The Turkey Red Oil (CAS NO.8002-33-3) is also known as sulfonated castor oil , but is not red in color. Like regular castor oil, it is clear, but it is not quite as thick as regular castor oil.
Turkey Red Oil (CAS NO.8002-33-3) is commonly used in shampoos and bath oils because it helps solublise or emulsify Fragrant Oils and Essential Oils so they will disperse in water. It has nothing to do with Turkeys.
Turkey Red Oil (CAS NO.8002-33-3) is derived from natural castor oil and is expressed from the seed.
