Condensation of 1-aminoanthraquinone [82-45-1] with Cl3CCH(OH)2 in the presence of ZnCl2 gave N,N'-(trichloroethylidene)bis(1-aminoanthraquinone) [89734-98-5], and the diamines gave polymeric analogs. .
