- Reducing wall fouling in vinyl chloride polymerization
- Reducing wall fouling in vinyl chloride polymerization. Wempe, Lawrence K.; Bauman, Bernard D. (Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., USA). U.S. US 4420591 A 13 Dec 1983, 4 pp. (English). (United States of America). CODEN: USXXAM. CLASS: IC: C08F014-06. NCL: 526062000. APPLICATION: US 82-365117 5 Apr 1982.In this article, certain chemicals are used. Some of their cas registry numbers are 7758-98-7 and 9003-22-9 DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 35 (Chemistry of Synthetic High Polymers) Reactor wall fouling in the prepn. of vinyl chloride polymers in suspension is decreased by spraying the reactor surfaces with a soln. contg. H2SeO3 and, optionally, CuSO4 at 40-100° prior to charging. Thus, a 1.5-L stainless steel reactor having electropolished surfaces was heated to 65-70°, sprayed an aq. soln. contg. 111 ppm H2SeO3 and 4.3% CuSO4, and used to prep. PVC [9002-86-2] using a conventional suspension polymn. recipe. The total fouling after 2 batches was 2.2 g, compared to 8.5 g for an untreated reactor. .

- Dual UV-thermally hardenable plastisols. Morgan, Charles R. (Switz.).Some commonly used reagents like 9003-22-9 and 9002-86-2 are used in this experiment. Adhaesion, 27(12), 24-5 (German) 1983. CODEN: ADHEA2. ISSN: 0001-8198. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 37 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) A discussion of plastisols, based on vinyl chloride and methacrylate polymers, in which part of the unreactive plasticizer is replaced by a di- or tri(meth)acrylate monomer to give compns. which are hardened by heat and UV light. The plastisols are esp. useful as sealing compns. in automobiles and as potting compns. for electronic devices. .
