188577-69-7 Usage
General Description
2-Amino-3,4-Dichloropyridine is a chemical compound recognized by its CAS number 72226-42-3. It is classified as an aromatic halogen and belongs to the family of pyridines, which are heterocyclic aromatic compounds containing a six-membered ring with one nitrogen atom and five carbon atoms. This specific compound, as the name implies, is characterized by having an amino group (-NH2) and two chlorine atoms attached to the pyridine ring. It is used in a variety of applications in scientific research, like in the synthesis of pharmaceutical products. Its physical and chemical properties, safety, toxicity, and handling information should be consulted in a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before use.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 188577-69-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,8,8,5,7 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 188577-69:
(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*8)+(5*5)+(4*7)+(3*7)+(2*6)+(1*9)=207
207 % 10 = 7
So 188577-69-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

An improved large scale synthesis of 2-amino-4-chloropyridine and its use for the convenient preparation of various polychlorinated 2-aminopyridines

, p. 861 - 870 (2007/10/03)
An efficient large scale synthesis of 2-amino-4-chloropyridine (3) has been achieved through a modification of existing literature procedures. Compound 3 was used to prepare the previously unreported 2-amino-4,5-dichloropyridine (4). The known 2-amino-3,4-dichloropyridine (5) and 2-amino-3,4,5-trichloropyridine (6) were pepared from 3 by new routes and in higher yields than previously reported.
