Construction, components, and some properties of the bromine-polysulfide redox flow cell (Br/polyS RFC) are discussed in this section. For the bromine-polysulfide cell, various electrode materials, including activated carbon, carbon/graphite felt, nickel foam, and metal-coated graphite felt, are reported. Technical challenges facing the bromine-polysulfide technology are discussed. The prototype of a Li/PS semisolid rechargeable flow battery and a Li/PS battery with polysulfide infiltrating into carbon paper are also reported. A semisolid polysulfide flow cell (SSPFC) is described.
