Tetrachlorobenzidine (15721-02-5) is an intermediate in the industrial manufacture of dyes and pigments, is classified as a human carcinogen or a probable putative human carcinogen in USA. During the production of Tetrachlorobenzidine (15721-02-5), substantial quantities of industrial effluents are generated. A lab-scale combination process, composed by micro-electrochemical oxidation, air-stripping and aerobic biological processes, was carried out for the treatment of Tetrachlorobenzidine (15721-02-5) wastewater from the two-staged neutralization dissolved by methanol.
Tetrachlorobenzidine (15721-02-5) is used for the manufacture of high-grade organic pigments.
