Preparation of Acid Orange 116: it is prepared by reaction of m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid, 1-naphthaleneamine with p-cresol. Firstly, m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid is coupled with 1-naphthylamine after its diazotization. Then the coupled product is coupled with p-cresol after a second diazotization. At last, product is obtained by alkylation with diethyl sulfate, salting out, filtration and drying.
