Uses
Used in Livestock Industry:
2,3-Quinoxalinedione,1,4-dihydro-1,8-dimethyl-(9CI) is used as a feed additive for promoting growth and improving feed efficiency in livestock. It aids in the enhancement of animal productivity by optimizing the nutritional value of feed and supporting overall health.
Used in Veterinary Medicine:
In the veterinary field, 2,3-Quinoxalinedione,1,4-dihydro-1,8-dimethyl-(9CI) is employed as an antibacterial agent to combat bacterial infections in animals. Its antimicrobial properties contribute to disease prevention and treatment in livestock.
However, due to concerns regarding its potential carcinogenic and teratogenic effects, as well as the possibility of accumulation in animal tissues, the use of 2,3-Quinoxalinedione,1,4-dihydro-1,8-dimethyl-(9CI) has been banned in some countries. Ongoing research is focused on understanding the full extent of its potential risks to ensure the safety of both animal and human health, as well as the preservation of the environment.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 126990-86-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,2,6,9,9 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 126990-86:
(8*1)+(7*2)+(6*6)+(5*9)+(4*9)+(3*0)+(2*8)+(1*6)=161
161 % 10 = 1
So 126990-86-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

1,2,4-Triazolo[4,3-a]quinoxaline-1,4-diones as antiallergic agents
Loev,Musser,Brown,Jones,Kahen,Huang,Khandwala,Sonnino-Goldman,Leibowitz
, p. 363 - 366 (2007/10/02)
A series of new 1,4-dihydro-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]quinoxaline-1,4-diones has been reported. These compounds were tested as inhibitors of antigen-induced release of histamine (AIR) in vitro from rat peritoneal mast cells (RMC) and as inhibitors of IgE-mediated rat passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA). Most of this new class of antiallergic agents showed good activity in the RMC and PCA tests. The most potent compound, 2-acetyl-7-chloro-5-n-propyl-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]quinoxaline-1,4-dione, with an I50 value of 0.1 μM, is 30 times more potent than disodium cromoglycate (DSCG) in the RMC assay.
