L-[3-13C]Alanine was synthesized from [13C]methyl iodide by using Dellaria's oxazinone, prepared from phenyl[2- 13C]bromoacetate and (S)-2-phenylglycinol, as a chiral glycine equivalent. Alkylation of the oxazinone with [13C]methyl iodide was achieved with high diastereoselectivity. Hydrolysis and removal of the chiral auxiliary of the alkylated oxazinone gave L-[3-13C]alanine. The metabolic and biochemical impact of glucose 6-sulfonate (sulfoquinovose), a dietary sugar, on carbohydrate metabolism
Increased activity of the main carbohydrate pathways (glycolysis, pentose phosphate, and hexosamine biosynthetic pathways) is one of the hallmarks of metabolic diseases such as cancer. Sulfoquinovosyl diacylglycerol is a sulfoglycolipid found in the human

Multi-enzymatic Synthesis of β-11C-Labelled L-Tyrosine and L-DOPA
The synthesis of L-tyrosine (3) and L-DOPA (4) from carbon dioxide via DL-alanine (1) using a combination of organic synthetic methods and a multi-enzymatic procedure are presented. The 11C-labelled alanine was prepared by a methy
