Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Candesartan-D4 is used as an internal standard for the quantification of candesartan in pharmaceutical research and development. It aids in the accurate measurement and analysis of candesartan levels in various formulations, ensuring the efficacy and safety of the drug.
Used in Treatment of Congestive Heart Failure:
Candesartan-D4, as an active metabolite of candesartan cilexitil, is employed in the treatment of congestive heart failure. It acts as an angiotensin II type-1 receptor antagonist, helping to improve the symptoms and outcomes for patients suffering from this condition.
Used as an Antihypertensive:
Candesartan-D4 is also used in the treatment of hypertension. By blocking the angiotensin II type-1 receptor, it helps to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with high blood pressure.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1346604-70-3 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,3,4,6,6,0 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1346604-70:
(9*1)+(8*3)+(7*4)+(6*6)+(5*6)+(4*0)+(3*4)+(2*7)+(1*0)=153
153 % 10 = 3
So 1346604-70-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, p. 401 - 405 (2013/01/15)
This paper describes the synthesis of deuterium-labeled olmesartan and candesartan. The two desired compounds both used [2H4] 2-cyano-4'-methyl-biphenyl as deuterium-labeled reagent, which was synthesized beforehand in two steps. [2H4] olmesartan was synthesized in six steps further with 17% overall yield, and [2H4] candesartan was synthesized in seven steps further with 13% overall yield.
