A radiation curable composition comprising a cationic photoinitiator according to Formula (I) or (II): wherein : R1, R2 and R3 independently represent a group selected from the group consisting of an aryl group and a heteroaryl group, with the proviso that R1, R2 and R3 are each substituted by at least one substituent comprising at least one cationically polymerizable group selected from the group consisting of an alkenyl ether, an epoxide and an oxetane; P and Q independently represent the necessary atoms to form a substituted or unsubstituted 5 or 6-membered aromatic or heteroaromatic ring, with the proviso that at least one of P,Q and L is substituted by at least one substituent comprising at least one cationically polymerizable group, selected from the group consisting of an alkenyl ether, an epoxide and an oxetane; L represents a group selected from the group consisting of a direct bond, 0, S, SO, SO2, CR5R6, C(=O), S(=O), C(NR8) and NR7; R5 and R6 independently represent a group selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkaryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group, a halogen, an alcohol, an ether, an ester, an amine, an amide, a carboxylic acid, a thiol and thioether; R5 and R6 may represent the necessary atoms to form a five or six membered ring; R7 and R8 independently represent a group selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, an substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkaryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group and an acyl group; and Y- represents a counter ion to compensate for the positive charge of the sulfonium compound.
