Uses
Different sources of media describe the Uses of 537-40-6 differently. You can refer to the following data:
1. A linoleate triacylglycerol compound.
2. Polyunsaturaded fatty acid.
3. trilinolein is an emollient, it replenishes the lipids present in the stratum corneum, thereby improving skin look, feel, and texture. Depending on a formulator’s requirements, it can also be used as a solvent and to control a formula’s viscosity.
Definition
ChEBI: A triglyceride formed by acylation of the three hydroxy groups of glycerol with linoleic acid.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 537-40-6 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,3 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 537-40:
(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*0)=66
66 % 10 = 6
So 537-40-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

PALM OIL ENRICHED IN UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS
-
Paragraph 0065; 0066, (2013/06/06)
A process for producing a food oil containing at least 50% monounsaturated fatty acids from palm oil is disclosed. Fatty acids are released from palm oil glycerides, such as by fat-splitting. The free fatty acids (FFA) are separated to obtain a fraction enriched in unsaturated palm fatty acid. This fraction is subject to a condensation reaction with glycerol to form an oil comprising mainly triglycerides (triacylglycerols). The condensation reaction is catalyzed by an enzyme.
Synthesis of Triacylglyceride Hydroperoxides Derived from Linoleic Acid
Baba, Naomichi,Hirota, Naohisa,Umino, Hitoshi,Matsuo, Kyowa,Nakajima, Shuhei,et al.
, p. 1547 - 1548 (2007/10/02)
Four triacylglyceride hydroperoxides were synthesized by DCC-mediated esterification of a dimethylperketal of 13-hydroperoxyoctadecadienoic acid with glycerides, in which on e or two linoleoyl groups were linked, and by final removal of the protective group with a mixture of THF, acetic acid and water.
