A natural, hydrated, double salt of potassium and magnesium. White, gray, reddish, or colorless solid; streak, colorless; vitreous luster. D 2.05–2.13, hardness 2.5–3. Contains 30% potassium chloride.
Occurrence:
Germany; one of the Stassfurt minerals.
Use:
Chemicals (potassium salts), fertilizer (as such).
