(generic name for 6-[3,4-(methylenedioxy)phenoxy]-2-[3,4-(methylenedioxy)phenyl]3,7-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]octane). C₂₂H₁₈O₇. Constituent of sesame oil that is a powerful synergist of pyrethrum. A 1:1 mixture of pyrethrum and sesamoline has 31 times the insecticidal activity of pyrethrum alone.
