N-(TRICHLOROMETHYLTHIO)PHTHALIMIDE is widely used as a protective fungicide, which is mainly used to prevent grain crops, vegetables, and fruit trees etc, from various of diseases.

Safety Profile
Poison by intraperitoneal route. Moderately toxic by ingestion. Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic and teratogenic data. Experimental reproductive effects. Human mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Cl−, NOx, and SOx. Used as a fungicide.
