In summary, we have constructed a POM-based solid by
using {Mn2Zn3W19} as a building block and MnII cation as a
connecting node. Compound 1 undergoes interesting 1D to 3D
SCSC structural transformations that are induced by
heterogeneous metal cations and solvent molecules. The
gradual loss of water molecules in the crystal lattice plays a
very important role for SCSC structural transformations. This
work should provide a new pathway for the synthesis of high-
dimensional solid POMs with modulated functionality for
potential applications.
