Intramolecular synthesis of N thiophosphonylated thiopeptides. The case of thiosarcosine

A new, three-step, method is proposed for the synthesis of thiopeptides. Each step is verified starting from a sarcosylthiophosphondiamide model and using alcohols or water for the last one. With amines a different regioselective attack on the thiocarbonyl, instead of on the thiophosphoryl with alcohols, is observed.
