The reactions of a series of phenylimino(dialkylamino)phosphorus(V) dichlorides with ammonia have been carried out and for the first time phosphonium chlorides with primary, secondary, and tertiary amino groups linked to the same phosphorus atom have been obtained. Nmr, infrared, and mass spectra and Λ0 and Kc values of these compounds have been recorded. The thermal behavior of anilino(diethylamino)(diamino)phosphonium chloride is discussed, as well as its polarogram.
