5,2'-Dihydroxy-6,7-methylenedioxyisoflavone was identified from the seed balls of sugar beet.A neolignan, 6-oxo-2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-3,7-dioxabicyclo-<3.3.0>-octane, and indole-3-carboxylic acid were also isolated.
