By means of the Vilsmeier reaction, starting with various 4-substituted 7-dialkylaminocoumarins having an open position 3, the corresponding 3-formyl derivatives have been obtained, and their spectral and luminescence characteristics have been studied.The 13C NMR spectra and acid-base properties of a number of the synthesized compounds have been examined.
