(32) A reviewer of this article raised the justified concern that
residual silver ions in our NH4BArF synthesized from AgBArF could
be responsible for the observed reactivity. To address this concern, we
carried out a number of experiments, which indicate very clearly that
Ag+ is not the catalyst for dynamic covalent exchange. For instance,
NH4BArF synthesized from NaBArF gives rise to the same dynamic
behaviour as that synthesized from AgBArF. For further details, see
