produce micro-rods and plates of TMU-22, using acetic acid and
pyridine as modulators, respectively. Interestingly, it is found that
not only the incorporation of amide groups but also the
morphologies of the MOF and thus accessibility of functional groups
is crucial to obtain enhanced catalytic performance. Therefore,
micro-plates of TMU-22 showed the catalytic activity (99.6% in 90
min) which is much better than the values observed for the other
morphologies of TMU-22 and also other amide-containing MOFs
(the best result is 99.8% in 3h for crystals of TMU-24). This study
clearly unveils the dependency of the catalytic performance of MOF
with its morphology.
