The notable feature of the title compound is the non-planarity of the pentane-2,4-dione moiety.This fragment of the molecule adopts a significantly distorted S comformation with a dihedral angle of 62.1 (2) deg between the planes through C1-C2(=O1)-C3 and C3-C4(=O2)-C5.The molecular packing involves C-H...O close contacts.
