simulated patterns from the single-crystal structure, confirm-

The cyanosilylation reaction has attracted great concern
due to the synthesis of cyanohydrins and various catalytic sys-
tems, including homogeneous and heterogeneous systems.
Recently, many CPs with Lewis catalytic sites have been

applied to catalyze the reaction.
Therefore, the catalytic
activity of compound 1 in cyanosilylation reaction has been
investigated at room temperature (Figure 4). To our delight,
as shown in Figure 4, 4-chloro-benzaldehyde was efficiently
converted to the corresponding product with a 93% isotated
yield by the reaction with trimethylsilyl cyanide in the pres-
ence of compound 1. Importantly, removal of compound 1 by
filtration after only 1 h completely shut down the reaction,
affording only 46% yield. This demonstrates that no homoge-
neous catalyst species exists in the reaction solution and indi-
cates that the compound is truly heterogeneous in nature. The
stability of 1 catalyst was also directly confirmed by the similar
PXRD patterns of fresh 1 and sample after 4 runs. In addition,
as a heterogeneous catalyst, compound 1 can be reused. After
each catalytic cycle, 1 could be easily recovered by centrifuga-
tion and filtration, and then washed by fresh ethanol. After
dried at room temperature, the catalyst was directly used in
the next run. Furthermore, compound 1 can be reused and
the quantitative yield was obtained within the five recycling
