L-Amino acid esters as chiral auxiliaries in the asymmetric complexation of 1-methoxycyclohexa-1,3-diene with pentacarbonyliron afford the R- enantiomer of the corresponding planar chiral tricarbonyliron complex in up to 24% ee.
