homogeneous Pd species do have catalytic effect on OCG reac-

inferior to that of heterogeneous Pd/CeO -r Catalysts, which is

Conclusion
CeO2 with a rod-like structure (CeO -r) was prepared via
a hydrothermal method, using P123 as a morphology control
agent. It was then used as a support for the Pd/CeO
for the oxidative carbonylation of glycerol to produce glycerol
carbonate. The Pd/CeO -r catalyst was characterized and eval-

found that the leaching of active Pd and the growth of Pd
particles were the main causes of the deactivation.
