Heliotrine Uses

Heliotrine (CAS NO.303-33-3) is used as pharmaceutical.

Heliotrine Production

Heliotrine (CAS NO.303-33-3) can be obtained from the epigeal part of Heliotropium dasycarpum Ledeb . And also obtaining Heliotrine (CAS NO.303-33-3) from the plant raw material has been developed which consists in the extraction of the raw material with 80% ethanol, concentration to an aqueous residue, and reduction of the N-oxide form of heliotrine followed by extraction with chloroform, evaporation, and recrystallization from acetone. The yield of Heliotrine (CAS NO.303-33-3)  is 75–85% of its amount in the raw material.
