 Liquefied petroleum gas (CAS NO.68476-85-7) can be used as a vehicle fuel,a cooking fuel,and refrigerant. It is used for domestic and industrial heating, flame weeding, tobacco curing, grain drying, and in motor vehicles, as well as for the petrochemical industry.

 Liquefied petroleum gas  is synthesised by refining petroleum or 'wet' natural gas, and is usually derived from fossil fuel sources, being manufactured during the refining of crude oil, or extracted from oil or gas streams as they emerge from the ground.

Olefinic impurities may lend a narcotic effect or it may act as a simple asphyxiant. A very dangerous fire hazard when exposed to heat or flame. Can react with oxidizing materials.
