Uses
Prostaglandin A1 has been shown to decrease blood pressure and improve kidney function in pregnant women with severe hypertension. The ability of prostaglandin A1 to prevent the aggregation of platelets (clumping of cells involved in blood clotting) may also be beneficial.
In addition, according to a Research about assessed the effectiveness of prostaglandin A1 and dihydralazine in managing severe preeclampsia as detected in 20 women during early labor,prostaglandin A1 has an oxytocic effect (ability to cause uterine contraction), and can induce or enhance labor.
