Phenthoate Uses

Phenthoate (CAS NO.2597-03-7) is a drug with highly efficient, broad-spectrum, and low toxicity. It is within the non-absorbent as organic phosphorus insecticide, killing eggs' agent, and acaricide to be used to prevent a variety of pests on rice, cotton, vegetables, fruit, fuel, and other crops.

Phenthoate Production

Preparation of α-Bromo ethyl benzene : at 30 °C, take more than 95% Phosphorus trichloride 70mol slowly into the mixture of192mol of Phenylacetic acid and 40L of the Dichloroethane .When the dropping is completed, refluxing for 30min and continue stirring 1h. Again, under the reflux condition within 1 ~ 1.5h, dropping 250mol anhydrous Ethanol . After it is completed, continue stirring for the esterification reaction for 1h. With the reaction solution by washing with caustic, extraction, neutralization, washing, solvent off, you can get the brown-red liquid 45kg, more than 91% concentration, the yield of 87.7%.
The synthesis of Phenthoate (CAS NO.2597-03-7): First take 160mol O, O-dimethyl dithiophosphate ( treated by Na2CO3 ) sodium solution, then adding Toluene 30L, and then heated to 40 ~ 45 °C, then after adding phase transfer catalyst, dropping 100mol α-Bromo ethyl benzene in the 0.5 ~ 1h. When it is completed, has the reaction for 4h at 65 °C under the insulation. By caustic washing, neutralizing, washing, and taking solvent off, you can get the red and yellow oily Phenthoate oil, content of 92%, the yield of 88%.
