Platinum dichloride Specification

The Platinum(II) chloride, with the CAS registry number 10025-65-7 and EINECS registry number 233-034-1, is also known as dichloroplatinum. The molecular formula of this chemical is Cl2Pt. It is a olive green crystals, and belongs to the following product categories: Inorganics; Crystal Grade Inorganics; Platinum Salts; Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry; Chemical Synthesis; Platinum Metal and Ceramic Science; Salts.

The Platinum(II) chloride exists in two crystalline forms, but the main properties are somewhat similar: dark brown, insoluble in water, diamagnetic, and odorless. And it is an important precursor used in the preparation of other platinum compounds.

The physical properties of Palladium diacetate are as following: (1)#H bond acceptors: 0; (2)#H bond donors: 0; (3)#Freely Rotating Bonds: 0; (4)Polar Surface Area: 0 Å2.

Preparation of Platinum(II) chloride: Heat the H2PtCl6.6H2O to 150°C to redecompose, crush down the leftover. Pass the air and heat it to 360°C for several hours. Get rid of undecomposed H2PtCl6 by water, and then dry the product with the temperature of 360°C.

You should be cautious while dealing with this chemical. It irritates eyes, respiratory system and skin, and may cause burns. It may also cause sensitization by inhalation and skin contact. Therefore, you had better take the following instructions: Do not breathe dust; Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection, and in case of contacting with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice; In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show label where possible); Take off immediately all contaminated clothing; Avoid contact with skin.

You can still convert the following datas into molecular structure:
(1)SMILES: Cl[Pt]Cl
(2)InChI: InChI=1/2ClH.Pt/h2*1H;/q;;+2/p-2
(3)InChIKey: CLSUSRZJUQMOHH-NUQVWONBAP
