Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by Chloro-dimethyl-silane. This reaction will need reagent Pt(PPh₃)₄ and solvent benzene. The reaction time is 16 hours with reaction temperature of 90 °C. The yield is about 41%.

Uses of Silane, chlorohexyldimethyl-: it can be used to produce Dimethylamino-n-hexyldimethylsilan. It will need solvent hexane. The yield is about 88%.
