Tetraterbium heptaoxide Specification

This chemical is called Tetraterbium heptaoxide, and it's also name as Terbium(III,IV) oxide. With the CAS registry number of 12037-01-3, its product categories are Rare Earth; Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry; Chemical Synthesis; Oxides; Terbium Metal and Ceramic Science; Tb; Materials Science; Nanomaterials; Nanopowders and Nanoparticle Dispersions. Besides, it's soluble in hot concentrated acid, but insoluble in water.

Other characteristics of the Tetraterbium heptaoxide can be summarised as followings: (1)#H bond acceptors: 7; (2)#H bond donors: 0; (3)#Freely Rotating Bonds: 6; (4)Polar Surface Area: 95.97 Å2.

Production method of this chemical: The terbium nitrate / terbium carbonate / terbium sulfate solution reacts with sodium hydroxide, generating terbium hydroxide precipitation. After filtration and burning, the terbium oxide is prepared. The reaction is as follows: 4Tb(OH)3+0.5O2→Tb4O7+6H2O

Uses of this chemical: The Tetraterbium heptaoxide is used as magnetic materials, phosphors additives. It's mainly served as adding elements and phosphors for yttrium iron garnet and yttrium aluminum. It also used as sensitization paper with fluorescent for X-ray.

When you are using this chemical, please be cautious about it as the following: This chemical is stable at normal temperature and pressure. Keep it sealed in the cool and dry place, away from oxides, acid and water.

You can still convert the following datas into molecular structure:
1.InChI: InChI=1/3O.2Tb/q3*-2;2*+3
2.Smiles: [Tb+3].[Tb+3].[OH2-2].[OH2-2].[OH2-2]
