Photolabile support

A photolabile support is a chemical compound that can be easily cleaved or altered upon exposure to light, typically ultraviolet (UV) light. In the context of peptide synthesis, a photolabile support is often used to attach and protect amino acids during the synthesis process. When it's time to remove the peptide from the support, exposure to UV light triggers a reaction that cleaves the peptide from the support, allowing for easy purification and isolation of the desired peptide product.
