Methyldichloroarsine ,its cas register number is 593-89-5. It also can be called Arsonous dichloride, As-methyl- ; Arsonous dichloride, methyl- ; Methylarsonous dichloride ;and Dichloromethylarsine . Methyldichloroarsine (CAS NO.593-89-5) is a reducing agent which could react rapidly and dangerously with oxygen and with other oxidizing agents, even weak ones. In one instance, reaction with chlorine rapidly produced gaseous chloromethane, which led to an over pressurization failure [J. Chem. Soc., Dalton Trans., 1976, 1479].
