Uses of 4-Decenal, (4E)-: it can be used to produce (1-benzenesulfonyl-dec-4-enyl)-carbamic acid benzyl ester with carbamic acid benzyl ester and benzenesulfinic acid; sodium salt. This reaction is a kind of condensation reaction. This reaction will need reagent HCO2H and solvents tetrahydrofuran and H2O. The reaction time is 12 hours at reaction temperature of 20 °C. The yield is about 84%.
