Preparation of 4-n-pentylbiphenyl: it can be prepared by 4-iodo-aniline and 4-Pentylphenylboronic acid. The other product is 4-amino-4'-n-pentylbiphenyl. This reaction will need reagents Na2CO3 and H2O, catalyst Pd(PPh3)4 and solvent 1,2-dimethoxy-ethane. The reaction time is 30 minutes by heating. The yield is about 37%.
