Uses
Chloromethyl 4-chlorophenyl sulfide (CAS NO.7205-90-5) is used as three parathion pesticide intermediates.
Production
Adding 35% concentrated hydrochloric acid(200kg)in 500L glass-lined Fan Yingguo,stirring slowly.Adding 30% formaldehyde(30kg) for 20min.Then continue stirring for 15min. Heated to 40 ℃, drip of benzene, chlorobenzene thiophenol solution 85kg, plus heated to 55 ℃ reaction exhausted 2h, cooled to 30 ℃ put it aside for stratification, the upper sulfide water washed twice, under vacuum after the steam to benzene, which may chlorophenyl chloromethyl sulfide.
