Preparation of Ammonium vanadate. Firstly, anhydrous sodium carbonate is dissolved in water and heated to boiling. Then pentoxide alum is slowly added to the solution and potassium permanganate solution is added when CO2 is lost. Secondly, the mixture is filtered several times, washed by water and heated to 60 °C. At last, reaction occurs by quickly adding ammonium chloride for several hours. Product is obtained after filtration, precipitation and drying in air.
