The Hydrocarbon oils with CAS registry number of 8020-83-5 is also known as Mineral oil. The systematic name is Deobase. Its EINECS registry number is 232-455-8. This chemical is a colorless liquid that insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in volatile oil. It is used as anti-adhesive, defoamer, lubricant, mold release agent, fermentation agent, protection (coating) layer, polishing agent, glazing agent, excipient and so on. Besides, it should be sealed in cool, dry place.
Preparation of Hydrocarbon oils: it is prepared by reaction of the heavy oil. Firstly, the heavy oil is acuum distilled to remove paraffin and naphthalene. Then medium-viscosity oil distillate is extracted and refined with solvent to remove sulfur, nitrogen compounds and others to obtain product.
