Uses of Lithium lactate: it is used to produce C₁₅H₃₄O₃Si₂by reaction with tert-butyl-chloro-dimethyl-silane. The reaction occurs with reagent imidazole and solvent dimethylformamide at 30 °C. The yield is about 91%. This chemical also can be used for biochemical research.

Lithium lactate is used to produce C15H34O3Si2 by reaction with tert-butyl-chloro-dimethyl-silane.
