Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1052138-95-0 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,0,5,2,1,3 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1052138-95:
(9*1)+(8*0)+(7*5)+(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*3)+(3*8)+(2*9)+(1*5)=120
120 % 10 = 0
So 1052138-95-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Self-assembly of cationic pyrene nanotubes

Chen, Yulan,Zhu, Bo,Han, Yang,Bo, Zhishan

experimental part, p. 4927 - 4931 (2012/06/29)

The controlled preparation of organic nanotubes via self-assembly of polycyclic aromatics is a contemporary challenge for supramolecular science. Here, we show that the self-assembly of pyrene-containing cationic amphiphiles, 3-(4-(pyren-6-yl)phenoxy)propan-1-ammonium salts (PyPA-Cl, PyPA-Br, and PyPA-SO4), can form high aspect ratio nanotubes with a uniform diameter distribution. We have also demonstrated that the counter anions also play an important role in the self-assembling results. The self-assembly of pyrene-containing cationic amphiphilic molecules with monovalent anions (Cl - and Br-) forms exclusively uniform nanotubes; whereas the self-assembly of amphiphiles with bivalent counter anions (SO 42-) forms exclusively high aspect ratio nanoribbons. Furthermore, we have found that the diameter of the PyPA-Br nanotubes is larger than that of the PyPA-Cl nanotubes. The research results reported herein represent an important step towards the preparation of functional nanostructures with controlled 1D architectures.

supporting information; experimental part, p. 914 - 923 (2012/03/27)

In this paper, we present the synthesis and SAR as well as selectivity, pharmacokinetic, and infection model data for representative analogues of a novel series of potent antibacterial LpxC inhibitors represented by hydroxamic acid 1a.

MACROLIDE COMPOUNDS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME

-

Page/Page column 121, (2008/12/07)

The present invention provides amide containing macrocyclic compounds useful as therapeutic agents. More particularly, these compounds are useful as anti-infective, anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, and prokinetic agents.
