Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 105534-98-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,5,5,3 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 105534-98:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*5)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*8)=113
113 % 10 = 3
So 105534-98-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Widely Applicable Hydrofluorination of Alkenes via Bifunctional Activation of Hydrogen Fluoride

Lu, Zhichao,Zeng, Xiaojun,Hammond, Gerald B.,Xu, Bo

, p. 18202 - 18205 (2017)

Expanding the use of fluorine in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and materials requires a widely applicable and more efficient protocol for the preparation of fluorinated compounds. We have developed a new generation nucleophilic fluorination reagent, KHSO4-13HF, HF 68 wt/wt %, that is not only easily handled and inexpensive but also capable of hydrofluorinating diverse, highly functionalized alkenes, including natural products. The high efficiency observed in this reaction hinges on the activation of HF using a highly "acidic" hydrogen bond acceptor.

Template-directed synthesis of flexible porphyrin nanocage and nanorings via one-step olefin metathesis

Zhu, Bin,Chen, Huanxin,Lin, Wei,Ye, Yang,Wu, Jing,Li, Shijun

, p. 15126 - 15129 (2014)

We describe the fabrication of a suite of flexible porphyrin cages and nanorings from a simple tetraalkene-derived zinc porphyrin monomer via a highly efficient template-directed strategy. The zinc porphyrin monomers were preorganized together by coordination with N atoms of multidentate ligands. Subsequent one-step olefin metathesis furnished a bisporphyrin cage, a triporphyrin nanoring, and a hexaporphyrin nanoring. In the case of the hexaporphyrin nanoring, 24 terminal olefins from six porphyrin monomers reacted with each other to form 12 new double bonds, delivering the final product. The triporphyrin and hexaporphyrin nanorings were further employed as hosts to encapsulate C60 and C70.

A highly efficient approach to [4]pseudocatenanes by threefold metathesis reactions of a triptycene-based tris[2]pseudorotaxane

Zhu, Xiao-Zhang,Chen, Chuan-Feng

, p. 13158 - 13159 (2005)

A triptycene-based homotritopic host was designed and synthesized. Assembly of the host with a bisbenzylammonium salt containing terminal double bonds resulted in a tris[2]pseudorotaxane, which further performed the threefold metathesis reaction and then

Base-Promoted Radical Azofluoromethylation of Unactivated Alkenes

Lu, Zhichao,Hennis, Olivia,Gentry, Joseph,Xu, Bo,Hammond, Gerald B.

supporting information, p. 4383 - 4388 (2020/06/04)

The base-induced reaction of aryl diazonium salts with commercially available CF3SO2Na/CF2HSO2Na allows for the generation of the corresponding diazene radicals along with fluoromethyl radicals. The addition of fluoromethyl radicals to alkenes with subsequent diazene trapping provides the azofluoromethylation products in good to excellent yields. This metal-free method under mild reaction conditions has broad functional group compatibility and is applicable in the late-stage modification of various natural products and bioactive molecules.

Nickel-catalyzed removal of alkene protecting group of phenols, alcohols via chain walking process

Meng, Chenkai,Niu, Haolin,Ning, Juehan,Wu, Wengang,Yi, Jun

supporting information, (2020/02/04)

An efficient nickel-catalyzed removal of alkene protection group under mild condition with high functional group tolerance through chain walking process has been established. Not only phenolic ethers, but also alcoholic ethers can be tolerated with the retention of stereocenter adjacent to hydroxyl group. The new reaction brings the homoallyl group into a start of new type of protecting group.

Selective Aerobic Oxidation of Methylarenes to Benzaldehydes Catalyzed by N-Hydroxyphthalimide and Cobalt(II) Acetate in Hexafluoropropan-2-ol

Gaster, Eden,Kozuch, Sebastian,Pappo, Doron

supporting information, p. 5912 - 5915 (2017/05/12)

Efficient and highly selective catalytic conditions for the aerobic autoxidation of methylarenes to benzaldehydes, based on N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) and cobalt(II) acetate in 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropan-2-ol (HFIP), were developed. The sustainable conditions enable a multigram scale preparation of benzaldehyde derivatives in high efficiency and with excellent chemoselectivity (up to 99 % conversion and 98 % selectivity).

Selective oxidations of activated alcohols in water at room temperature

Lipshutz,Hageman,Fennewald,Linstadt,Slack,Voigtritter

supporting information, p. 11378 - 11381 (2014/11/08)

Allylic and benzylic alcohols can be selectively oxidized to their corresponding aldehydes or ketones in water containing nanoreactors composed of the designer surfactant TPGS-750-M. The oxidation relies on catalytic amounts of CuBr, bpy, and TEMPO, with N-methyl-imidazole; air is the stoichiometric oxidant. the Partner Organisations 2014.

Structural optimization of super-gelators derived from naturally-occurring mannose and their morphological diversity

Ono, Fumiyasu,Watanabe, Hisayuki,Shinkai, Seiji

, p. 25940 - 25947 (2014/07/07)

Mannose derivatives were synthesized as low molecular-weight gelators with various alkoxy substituents on the aromatic ring of methyl-4,6-O-benzilidene- α-d-mannopyranoside. Most of these mannose derivatives could gel in various solvents, such as octane, cyclohexane, toluene, ethylene glycol and ethanol solutions, at concentrations lower than 2.0 wt%. In particular, the critical gelation concentration (CGC) of methyl-4,6-O-(4-butoxybenzylidene)- α-d-mannopyranoside (2) for squalane was only 0.025 wt%, one of the lowest CGCs we have ever experienced. The observations of xerogels by FE-SEM, TEM and AFM revealed that the length of the alkoxy chains of the mannose derivatives influences the gel morphologies. Moreover, the toluene gels formed from the mannose derivatives 1-6 functionalized by a linear alkoxy group exhibited thixotropic properties. Interestingly, the gels of various solvents formed from methyl-4,6-O-(4-dodecyloxybenzylidene)-α-d-mannopyranoside (6) (with the longest alkoxy chain on the aromatic ring in this paper) exhibited thixotropic properties. Thus, we confirmed that alkoxy groups on the aromatic ring exert noticeable effects on the gelation properties of these mannose derivatives. the Partner Organisations 2014.
